Abstract

The challenge of attracting students to study Computer Science in the Middle East is growing. Retaining them is even more challenging. Alice is a 3D programming environment that was developed to promote and teach computer science. In this paper, we introduce our experience in using Alice as a tool in different levels throughout the computer science curriculum at the American University of Kuwait (AUK). We will introduce how we use Alice and the rationale of using it in different courses, followed by remarks and findings.
