Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment: A Correlational Study in Bahrain

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine 1) the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational commitment; 2) the impact of demographics key variables on job satisfaction and organizational commitment in a private financial institution in the Kingdom of Bahrain. One hundred and fifty six participated in this study. Results revealed a positive relationship between job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Additionally, it revealed that age was the only demographic key variable that affects organizational commitment. Based on the results, implications and direction for further studies were made.
