N2 - The purpose of this study was to compare students' achievement in college algebra classes in two different universities, and to explore factors that might affect such achievement. Two groups of students were considered in this study, one from an American University in the Middle East and the other from a U.S university. Factors such as location, semester, gender, and class size were included in the study to determine their influence on students' achievement. The statistical analysis showed that class size has the greatest effect, and semester has the lowest.
