Abstract

The Kuwait Energy Outlook (KEO) 2023 is the most recent edition of comprehensive analysis on the energy sector of Kuwait. Funded by KFAS and led by the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR), the study is reviewed by an editorial committee, which includes Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), General Secretariat for the Supreme Council of Planning & Development (GSSCPD), Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), Ministry of Oil (MOO), Ministry of Electricity, Water, & Renewable Energy (MEWRE), Kuwait Environment Public Authority (KEPA), and Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects (KAPP). This edition examines the present utilization of energy in Kuwait as well as its outlook on local energy issues projected to 2040 and examines the Energy Security-Transition Nexus and how it could affect Kuwait.
